SEATS – SOFT & METAL

Valves are provided with spring laden dual O-ring designed seats which helps to uphold a flawless seal when the gate in either low or high-pressure functions. The soft seat insets helps to warrant that the main sealing occurs at the gate. Secondary metal-to-metal seating comes into play and ensures sealing if the primary soft seat gets damaged.

SELF RELIEVING CAVITY

The spring-loaded seats can turn off line pressure impartial of upstream or downstream pressure when the valve is in closed position and there is uniform or zero pressure, creating a double block situation. A firm closure is formed when the line pressure is exacted which forces the slab gate to hover alongside the downstream seat and similarly the upstream line pressure forces the upstream seat on the slab gate to shape up an upstream seal.

SECONDARY SEALANT INJECTION SYSTEM

The double block and bleed slab gate design, in the closed position, may involve an upsurge in cavity pressure due to thermal expansion. When the cavity pressure surpasses the pressure in the line, the seat is strained from the gate surface permitting the superfluous cavity pressure to be emitted into the line. This consents for a pressure equilibrium amid the body cavity and the line.

EXPANDING GATE MECHANICAL DETAILS

Valves 6” and larger have secondary sealant injection fittings for the stem and seats. If the seat inserts or stem O-rings become damaged, leakage from the seat and stem can be prevented by injecting sealant into the fittings.

FULL EXPANDED CLOSED

In the full expanded shutoff position, the section stop is involved with the lower body stop and the gate is compressed downward, expanding the gate and section to form a taut seal alongside the upstream and downstream seats. Body cavity venting will support to provide tight shut off.

MID POSITION

When functioning towards the open position, the gate journeys through the wedge angle of the section. This withdraws the component so that it will maneuver freely amidst the seat faces.

FULL EXPANDED OPEN

In the full expanded open position, the segment stop is involved with the stop on the upper body making the gate compressed upward. This inflates the section and the gate into the seats, quarantining the flow from the cavity.
